The Rook is a ready to ride urban bike with an ergonomic step through frame, making it comfortable to mount and dismount. It comes equipped with a 500W hub motor that is extremely powerful (peaks at 750W). Pedal assist or throttle mode, allow you to make it up the hill or ease a tricky knee.

Keep your bottom happy with the Selle Royal, ergonomic gel seat, and glide in luxury. The step through design lets you move comfortably and safely on and off the power-assisted bicycle without the need of throwing your leg up and over the saddle.

Sore hips or knees, will not be distressed while cruising on this pedelecric bike. It is equipped with the extremely powerful Bafang motor (500W) with a 120km battery range. light application on the pedals are all that is requires to get the Surface604 Rook up to 32 km/h. If you do not feel like pedaling simply use the thumb throttle to e-bike glide.

With the thumb throttle, never distress about taking your bike up stairs or steep hills again. Just engage the throttle and let the powerful motor move the bike up any slope. Broken chain, no problem, and no need to pedal, just power to safety using the throttle.

You can travel with confidence, the Rook electric pedal assisted bike delivers a smooth ride even on bumpy paths, with its front SR Suntour XCT suspension. With the lock out feature, you can stiffen the front suspension to get more power out of your road ride. This flexibility provides you the freedom to choose the ride you want.

The LED light system is integrated with the battery

Got stuff? The rear rack integrates with panniers so you can shop, commute or picnic with ease.

The easy to see colour display allows you to check your speed, assist Level, trip distance, battery power level and more, while your on the move.

The Rooks Tektro Auriga Hydraulic Brakes with motor inhibitors, means you will stop immediately, as the brake system cancels out the motor's power. As an added safety feature, the rear brake light illuminates when ever the rear brake leaver is applied, warning other riders, or vehicles behind you, that you are slowing down.

Fantastic store with amazing staff who really took time with my husband and me. We were able to try out a couple different bikes on an actual road ride and not just in a parking lot. Chris spent a lot of time familiarizing us with the bikes and making sure we were comfortable with them before going out on the road where he rode alongside us giving helpful tips and advice. He was very patient and at no time did we feel pressured to hurry up and "catch on" nor did we feel pressured to purchase a bike. Thank you to all the staff. You really know how to do customer service right.

What to say about BCeBike's customer service? It simply is the best there is on Vancouver Island! I have a two-year-old Velec R48 which I love to ride. Unfortunately, the battery died. I had bought the bike in Duncan, but reaching the business there was painfully unsuccessful. Eventually I contacted Velec in Quebec and they immediately responded and told me to connect with BCeBike in Nanaimo. During a day their store was closed (Monday) I could deliver my bike to have it checked out. Rob the owner phoned me the same day to confirm the battery was dead, but luckily still on warranty. He provided me with a loan battery so I could keep riding and now the warranty is taken care of. On a site note, Rob checked out the bike completely and fixed assembly errors made in Duncan without charging me for it! Rob thank you so much! You are a true passionate business owner, and your customer service is out of this world!! Helma

We did not even purchase our bikes from bc ebikes and they serviced our bikes and provided us with lots of information to make our biking experience better. Thank you thank you thank you.....I now know why Mitchell from surface 604 was not worried at all about the issues we were having once he knew we took our bikes to your team!
